Received the highest ranking in the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's coastal vessel "energy saving rating" system
In order to create an environment conducive to investment in energy-saving and CO2-reducing equipment for coastal shipping, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) launched the full-scale implementation of the coastal shipping "Energy Saving Rating" system in March 2020, which objectively evaluates the energy-saving and CO2-reducing performance of ships.
We are pleased to announce that five of our ships, the Hidaka, Masui, and Marimo, as well as our operated ships Tsuruga and Hokuto, have received the highest rating (☆☆☆☆☆) for measures based on equipment installation and design (hardware measures) on October 22, 2020.
These ships are environmentally friendly, with more energy-saving and CO2-reducing features than ever before, and by having shippers and consumers use these ships, we will further contribute to measures against global warming.
