Naming and launching ceremony for new ship "Marimo"

At 10:25 a.m. on August 23rd, a new RoRo ship under construction at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd.'s Shimonoseki Shipyard was named "Marimo" and a launching ceremony was held without incident.

The state-of-the-art ship will enter service in January next year on the Hitachinaka/Tomakomai route, connecting the Kanto region and Hokkaido.
