[Container Feeder] New vessel "Harukaze" begins operation and welcome ceremony held
We are pleased to announce that the new container ship "Harukaze" commenced operations on the Keihin-Sendai route, with which we have a business partnership, on Sunday, November 23, 2025. A
grand welcome ceremony hosted by Miyagi Prefecture was held at Sendai Port on Wednesday, December 3, where those involved celebrated the new ship's inaugural service.
The "Harukaze" is a state-of-the-art container ship boasting a gross tonnage of 3,429 tons and a maximum load capacity of 447 TEU, significantly improving its loading capacity compared to conventional vessels. The number of
reefer container receptacles has also been increased to 100, strengthening its ability to handle cargo requiring freshness preservation. We
are confident that this will contribute to increasing cargo handling volume in the Sendai port area and stabilizing regional logistics.
We will continue to strive to further improve our services so that we can meet the diverse needs of our customers.
