[Container Feeder] New vessel "Harukaze" begins operation and welcome ceremony held
We are pleased to announce that the newly built container ship "Harukaze" will begin operation on Sunday, November 23, 2025 on the Keihin-Sendai route, with which we have a business partnership. On
Wednesday, December 3, a grand welcome ceremony hosted by Miyagi Prefecture was held at Sendai Port, where those involved celebrated the new ship's launch.
The Harukaze is a state-of-the-art container ship boasting a gross tonnage of 3,429 tons and a maximum loading capacity of 447 TEU, significantly improving its loading capacity compared to conventional ships.
The number of receptacles for reefer containers has also been increased to 100, strengthening its ability to handle cargo that requires preservation of freshness. We
are confident that this will contribute to an increase in cargo handling volume in the Sendai Port area and the stabilization of regional logistics.
We will continue to strive to further improve our services so that we can meet the diverse needs of our customers.
