Participation in the Nippon Foundation's unmanned ship program, "DFFAS Project"

The Company is participating in the "DFFAS Project (Designing the Future of Full Autonomous Ship)" together with Nippon Maritime Science Co., Ltd. and MTI Co., Ltd. as part of the "Technical Development Joint Program for Demonstration Experiments of Unmanned Operating Ships," a project being implemented by Nippon Yusen Co., Ltd. in collaboration with the Nippon Foundation (hereinafter referred to as the "Nippon Foundation"), a project that has been launched with 30 domestic companies.

The "DFFAS Project" is a variety of initiatives that will make it possible to successfully demonstrate unmanned ships on domestic vessels, taking advantage of the technology and experience that the Nippon Yusen Group has cultivated in the development of "manned autonomous vessels" to date, and the goal is to put into practical use of full-scale unmanned vessels by 2025.

As a member of the Nippon Yusen Group, our company plans to develop and support unmanned ships, and contribute to the success of the project together with Nippon Yusen Co., Ltd.
